On May 12, Knicks insider Ian Begley discussed OG Anunoby’s injury recovery on a program. Notably, Anunoby suffered a right hamstring strain in Game 2 of the second round, missed the remaining two games of the series, and was listed as day-to-day.
Begley stated, “He will play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. I am confident in saying this because the situation improved significantly within a day or two after the injury. Barring any unexpected setbacks, Anunoby will be ready for Game 1 of the East Finals.”
So far this postseason, Anunoby is averaging 20.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. (NBA.com)
