Vegas Golden Knights Russian forward Pavel Dorofeev has taken the lead in the sniper race among Russian players in the current Stanley Cup playoffs.
In the ongoing Game 4 of the quarterfinal series against the Anaheim Ducks, Dorofeev scored a goal, bringing his playoff tally to five. This moved him past Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov, who has four goals.
The third place among Russian snipers is shared by Edmonton Oilers forward Vasily Podkolzin and Vegas Golden Knights forward Ivan Barbashev, each with three goals. Artemy Panarin, Evgeni Malkin, and Vladimir Tarasenko have each scored two goals.
At the end of the first two periods of the game between Vegas and Anaheim, the Ducks were leading 3-2.
