Roman Rotenberg, the First Vice President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, shared insights about a recent master class conducted for the Russian U18 junior national team.

“On the eve of Victory Day, we held a master class for the U18 junior national team of Russia. Several hours on the ice were highly productive – the players worked with great enthusiasm and full dedication. That’s what matters most when our future stars have that spark in their eyes.

In our work, we implement the best drills and techniques, which we compile and analyze together with our honored coaches and leading hockey players worldwide. All of this is part of the ‘Red Machine’ program, where our goal is to stay ahead of everyone in global hockey.

It’s very encouraging to see the progress these young athletes have already made. Many have improved since the previous master class in early November. The guys are growing, enhancing their strengths, and working on speed, endurance, and technique.

This is exactly how a player’s path should be built – through constant effort, understanding one’s own strengths, and daily self-improvement. Talent gives you a chance, but only hard work allows you to seize that chance. Playing for the Russian national team is a great honor, but also a great responsibility.

I’m confident that this generation has everything it takes to represent our country at the highest level in the future and achieve great victories. Thank you to the players for their dedication and desire to become stronger. It was a privilege to work with such a talented team,” Rotenberg wrote.
